FixCalm is a targeted equine calming supplement combining magnesium proteinate and thiamine (Vitamin B1) to help support calm behaviour, focus, recovery and performance.
Travel, competition, training and changing environments all place pressure on modern horses. FixCalm delivers targeted nutritional support to help them stay calm, focused and ready to perform.
Thiamine is essential for neural cell metabolism and neurotransmitter production. It is implicated in controlling inflammation and antioxidation, assisting wound healing and promoting calm behaviour.
Magnesium supports essential processes including nerve function, enzyme activation in blood and muscle contraction. Magnesium is often referred to as the “chill mineral” and may help support relaxation and recovery.
WHY IS FIXCALM® SO GOOD FOR YOUR HORSE?
FixCalm® helps with:
Promoting calm behaviour
Assisting with wound healing
Supporting nerve function
Improving recovery rates
Fixine® is an equine digestive probiotic designed to support a healthy gut environment, digestive efficiency and overall wellbeing.
The latest formula combines Bacillus subtilis, Bacillus licheniformis and New Zealand zeolite (Optimate™). The Bacillus strains are naturally spore-forming, helping them remain stable through the digestive process before becoming active in the gut.
Most horses readily accept Fixine®. It is a granular product to make it simpler to mix into your horse's normal dry feed.
If your horse is particularly fussy, start by introducing a small amount and gradually increase over one week to tend days to the recommended daily rate.
Simply mix Fixine® into your horse's normal dry feed (although Fixine works in wet feed also if you prefer).
The recommended daily rate is:
Always follow the directions on the product packaging.
Every horse is different, so there isn't a single timeframe in which you should expect to see a change. However, a number of customers report seeing visible improvements in coat and temperament after two to three weeks of using Fixine®.
Fixine® is designed primarily as ongoing digestive and gut-health support, rather than a treatment intended to produce an immediate response. Some owners notice changes in appetite, condition, manure consistency or general wellbeing relatively quickly, while for others the benefits may become apparent over several weeks of consistent use.
For horses experiencing digestive stress, the manufacturer recommends feeding at double the normal rate.
Yes. Fixine® is designed for regular daily use and can form part of your horse's ongoing feeding program. The current formula has a 12-month shelf life from date of manufacture.
Fixine® can generally be incorporated into a horse's existing feeding program. However, because every horse's diet and supplement combination is different, we recommend checking the ingredients and total nutrient intake when using multiple supplements.
If you're unsure whether Fixine® is appropriate alongside another specific supplement, ask your veterinarian or equine nutritionist.
Fixine® is a nutritional probiotic supplement, but we don't recommend making a blanket statement that it is compatible with every medication.
If your horse is currently receiving ulcer medication, antibiotics or other veterinary treatment, speak with your veterinarian about the complete feeding and treatment program before introducing or changing supplements.
Importantly, Fixine® should not be considered a treatment for gastric ulcers or other veterinary conditions.
Yes. Fixine® is suitable for foals, with a recommended feeding rate of 30g per foal per day.
For young, unwell or particularly vulnerable foals, we recommend discussing supplementation with your veterinarian.
Yes. Given the additional stress of completion, you may wish to provide your horse with the stress dose levels, which is double the normal rate (ie, 30 to 40 gr per 100kg body weight).
Fixine is also competition/swab safe as it is a toxin binder plus bacteria so there is no ingredient on the band substance list
However, competition regulations place responsibility on the person responsible for the horse. The FEI advises competitors to check all supplement ingredients against the current Equine Prohibited Substances List and warns that supplements can potentially be contaminated.
Fixine® contains Bacillus subtilis, Bacillus licheniformis and New Zealand zeolite (Optimate™). The Bacillus strains are naturally occurring, spore-forming probiotic bacteria.
The latest formula contains advanced probiotic strains of Bacillus subtilis and Bacillus licheniformis from Novonesis, alongside New Zealand zeolite in the form of Optimate™.
Because these Bacillus strains are spore-forming, they are particularly stable during feed processing and passage through the upper digestive tract. They can then germinate and become metabolically active in the hindgut.
Fixine® is made in New Zealand by Blue Pacific Minerals NZ.The product is manufactured using New Zealand zeolite (Optimate™) and the probiotic ingredients specified in the current formulation.
Australian customers purchase Fixine® through CAN Animal Care Pty Ltd or supporting retailers and orders are shipped within Australia. CAN Animal Care is an Australian company and the exclusive distributor of Blue Pacific Minerals NZ equine products in Australia

Fixine® is designed to support a healthy digestive environment and beneficial gut bacteria. It is not an ulcer medication and should not be used as a substitute for veterinary diagnosis or treatment of gastric ulcers.
Maintaining a healthy gut environment may be an important part of an overall feeding and management program, particularly for horses experiencing dietary, training or other forms of stress.
Fixine® can provide nutritional support during periods of digestive or dietary stress. Blue Pacific Minerals specifically recommends feeding at double the normal rate when a horse is showing signs of digestive stress.
However, persistent diarrhoea, colic, weight loss, poor appetite or other significant changes in your horse's health should always be discussed with your veterinarian.
